BONJOUR
Celebrant in Provence grew from decades spent immersed in beautifully considered international weddings, and a desire to bring that same level of artistry, preparation and production detail to the ceremony itself.
As native English-speaking celebrants, we understand not only the language, but its subtleties, humour, cultural references and unspoken nuances, ensuring nothing of you or your story is lost in translation.
Born from a true passion for weddings and a deep appreciation for the beauty of marriage, we believe your ceremony deserves the same thought and attention to detail as every other beautifully designed element of your wedding. Each ceremony is beautifully authored, thoughtfully produced and entirely personal, designed to feel as considered as the celebration surrounding it.
Rooted in Provence, we bring a love of language and storytelling, an exceptional level of care and a genuine understanding of marriage to every ceremony. Working closely with you, your planner and wedding team, we become a trusted partner in creating a moment of profound joy and intention that will be remembered long after the day itself.

English Speaking Celebrant in Provence
CLAIRE MACINTYRE
"Claire is real find for English speaking couples getting married in France. I’ve hired her for many events and found her extremely professional, hard working and generous with her time and talent, going above and beyond expectations."
~ Travellur Weddings
British-born and a native English speaker, I have spent much of my career immersed in the world of weddings, first as a renowned wedding photographer and storyteller, and now as Founder, ceremony author and Lead Celebrant of Celebrant in Provence.
Having worked with hundreds of international couples across the South of France and Europe, both behind the camera and at the heart of their ceremonies, I have a deep understanding of weddings that extends far beyond the ceremony itself. That experience has taught me to notice the smallest details, to read the relationships between people and to understand how every element of a beautifully planned wedding comes together.
At heart, I am a creative and curious soul, endlessly interested in the stories, moments and feelings that endure when two people come together to build an extraordinary life. Family-orientated and a true romantic, I find enormous joy in discovering what makes each couple who they are, and finding the words that capture their personalities, their relationships and the life they have built together.
As Founder and Lead Celebrant, I personally lead the creative process behind every Celebrant in Provence ceremony. Whether I perform your ceremony myself or it is entrusted to one of our talented bilingual celebrants, each has been personally trained by me to bring our ceremonies to life with the warmth, confidence and elegance that define Celebrant in Provence.

a little more about me...
I moved to Provence in 2018 with my husband and son and then swiftly adopted our French bulldog Bonnie.
We live in Provence, in the heart of Provence, and fill our spare time with all the abundant pleasures on offer in Provence with flea markets, swimming and sun bathing at the calanques near Marseille, incredible fresh food and produce, cafe culture, long slow alfresco dining and my two favourite past times, photography and gardening.
and a little more...
I trained in the performing arts at both The BRIT School and Sylvia Young Theatre school. I performed on the West End Stage and in Movies and TV shows! This background of course means I'm very comfortable performing to a crowd and bring the tools and techniques of the theatre to my ceremonies.
one more thing...
I am a very happy spouse. I love being married and along with being a mother, it has been the most enriching, rewarding and joyful thing in my life.
A marriage is a treasure, never truly out of fashion and always deeply rewarding to those who take time to nurture it, taking care to help roots of love, trust and loyalty grow deeply and so entangled that there is no separating them. Marriage is a long conversation, a space where you can discover the full value of joy and have someone to divide it with.
